Forum Overview

NewNet's Clean Energy LP-GP Forum Europe held in London on 9 February 2011 was once again a great success, bringing together 75 Limited Partners (LPs) and 75 General Partners (GPs).

The exclusive, invitation only Forum followed two previous events that were also oversubscribed and was hosted in association with AltAssets and with the support of ILPA (Institutional Limited Partners Association).

The Forum saw a great selection of speakers share their views on the key issues in the cleantech, renewable energy and environmental technology investment space and enabled high-quality GPs connect with the most active LPs in the sector.

The Forum enabled attendees to identify new investment areas and establishing lasting business relationships. It was the perfect opportunity for GPs to meet and establish relationships with the most relevant LPs and corporate investors.

In addition, it allowed LPs to identify potential GPs to track, build relationships with or invest alongside, enhancing their understanding of the key trends, developments and investment opportunities.

The Clean Energy LP-GP Forums have very strong support from the LP community. Indeed, the structure and content of the events, as well as the balance of attendees, is determined in consultation with an advisory board of leading LPs. This input helps to create an intensive and productive day, during which LPs meet the best fund managers in the sector, interact with respected peers and discuss the most important issues that matter to them.
